Charlotte Country Day School, an esteemed independent school in Charlotte, NC, is dedicated to nurturing the full potential of students from grades JK-12. Their mission is to cultivate confident, well-rounded individuals ready to make meaningful contributions to society. Seeking to capture the vibrant spirit of their campus, CCDS needed fresh, high-quality photography and creative direction for upcoming video campaigns.

I worked closely with them to deliver a range of visual content that brought their vision to life.

From the outset, I engaged with CCDS to understand their dream media content. By exploring what excited them and brainstorming ideas, I crafted a custom proposal tailored to their needs. Working closely with them, I developed a detailed shoot day timeline and maintained open communication throughout. The result was a collaborative, laid-back, and enjoyable process that yielded impactful and meaningful media.

The refreshed gallery of photos and videos now reflects the true essence of Charlotte Country Day School’s vibrant campus. The media not only captivates but also tells a compelling story, enhancing their outreach and engagement efforts across multiple platforms. With a rich selection of content at their disposal, CCDS can now consistently connect with their audience and propel their initiatives forward.

Results

CCDS faced the challenge of revitalizing their visual media. Their existing photos were outdated, and they needed a comprehensive refresh. Additionally, they required creative direction for three key video campaigns to engage prospective students, alumni, current students, and their parents effectively.

Campus Photo & Video Gallery

I captured a full range of b-roll and photos across both campuses and all grade levels, providing CCDS with a vibrant gallery of images to use for general content and their website.

BUCS Together Days of Giving

For CCDS’s largest annual fundraiser, I produced four engaging videos, including one main “hero” video and three mini reels. My creative process involved scripting, directing, filming, and editing to create content that encouraged donations and showcased the school’s spirit.

Theater Impact Video

I crafted a compelling video that showcased the profound impact of CCDS’s Theater program on students. This involved interviewing students, capturing dynamic b-roll footage, and integrating provided footage into a powerful final edit.

“Why I Teach” Series

This series featured interviews with teachers sharing their passion for education. I created a main hero video for the CCDS website, along with individual mini teasers for social media. Each video was meticulously filmed, edited, and directed to highlight the heart behind their teaching staff.
